Break wall isn’t showing

Hello it had been a bit since I’ve played this game. I’m in the campanula part. The object days talk with a zombie guy but it sounds like i have to break a wall. I see press the r1 button and it says “no skills acquired” like what am i see doing wrong? I see thought i see would have had the wall break by now. Is there a way to equip it?

You only get the wall break ability once you get the quest to collect salpeter, so there is probably something you missed
