New Update broke Ev erything

You can't play Locally anymore, you can't join or host an online game as a VR player anymore. This latest update removed all playability from the game. Is there any fix for it?

Yep, local play is no longer possible and I have no idea how to host online either.

If any devs are watching, if you're going to fix this issue, please also fix the achievements for "baby steps" and "cloak and dagger" while you're at it, they appear to be broken. I was able to earn all other achievements except for those two.

Back on topic, I have not taken the update yet due to it being game breaking. Im going to try to back up the current build while I still can!

I tried to use the steam "backup files" function several times and it just hung there and did nothing. I let it run for several hours and no progress.

I'm keeping my fingers cross that it's just a mistake and they aren't nuking the game. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense that they would relist it on Steam at a lower price for a nuked game?

I waited and didn't take the update until it was forced on me. Now that I have it, I tried it out. Here's what I saw in detail:

• Yes, the update broke the game for me. It was working prior to the update.
  
• It loads on the PC monitor but not the VR. The VR view never gets past the loading screen, it's just eternally suck on the SteamVR loading screen. On the PC side, I can go as far as hosting a game, but since no one is online playing(and since VR is likely broken for everyone) I can't test any further than the 3d rendered lobby.
  
• From the menus and interface I can see on the PC, things DO look new, updated and different. So I don't think they intentionally bricked the game.
  
• There is no local multiplayer option. I really hope this is only due to the VR side never loading. It would really be strange and a huge bummer if they removed the local multiplayer capability.
  
• Any devs that want to contact me can do so if they need help tracking down the issue. I have IT experience so I'm no newbie for tracking down logs or running diagnostics on stuff.

I could be wrong but I don't think its the beta. I tried the beta a few months ago in a vain attempt to get the two bugged achievements(thinking it might be possible to earn them in the beta if not the main release). The beta (at least the one you can select through the properties on Steam) looks different than what I saw in this latest update.

Actually, Lunartik might be right. I just realized that the title screen in my screenshot is missing "redux". Dev might have accidentally rolled back code to a pre-redux version

i think the reason of this problem is because of this new pop-up that shows when you click on the green start-button on the mass exodus redux start page in the libary. (btw why is it existing in the first place?)
