Hired gun is made by a completely different studio, I don't see why they were abandon the game.
Its a free update. Lol.
What paywall, ha ha ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell.
If the game was identical to the tabletop, what would be the point in making it anyway?
Well, that was what bloodbowl did, and it worked. that's a great game!
Not having to fork out another £30 every time GW decides to finally add [that awesome thing from the lore]... oh, wait...
not having to invest the time/skill painting the minis?
not having to deal with you face to face to play... very relevant right now.
being able to play against the AI when I'm not in the mood to deal with BS and bad attitudes from randos.
Not having to acquire £1000 worth of terrain in order to play as intended.
I could probably do this all day dude. It's not a bad game, and I don't mind a little creative licence... but this class system is crap, the gangs aren't diverse enough and certainly don't feel different... this isn't necromunda, it's a half assed attempt to rip off x-com.
To each their own I suppose.
Make your own for a fraction of the price. Also, what do you spend on a PC?
I guess I can understand it to a degree but honestly, I think if you're going to make a PC version of a game, there should be some obvious differences. The game is set in the Necromunda universe and is turn based as it would be in real life. Most other constraints are likely do to this being a small indie studio with limited funding.
My main issue with the game is that it feels like it's trying to copy X-com with the class system, but that's not how Necromunda works... which house you are is your class, but you also had freedom to customise your gang via the skills and advancements, plus the gear... this doesn't give you that, the differences between the gangs are back end, a Goliath brawler plays just like an Orlock brawler... Escher get some slight differences with the poison thing, but that still doesn't feel different, and you lose it if you use the brawler only weapons... but that's also a very subjective complaint.
the gear feels lacking, there just isn't enough of it, and in that aspect there is no difference at all between the gangs, and some of the class locks feel dumb, like only deadeyes can use autoguns and lasguns... and where are the shotguns? only Escher should have the needle weapons and the shock whip. Goliath stub cannons, stub guns in general, Cawdor's scrapheap attempts to replicate the Custodies guardian spears, Van saar's Las carbines. It just feels like there is so much missing... plus house Delaque
The new class isn't terrible, but, again with the left arm? there are 6 classes now, Brawlers get class armour on both arms and can't remove them, 3 of the other classes get left arm, so only 2 out of 6 can use left arms, but the left arm gauntlets aren't any less common. would it have killed them to put this one on the right? or just not do that.
I totally agree! improving the ai would be a nice welcome. But if they made mp operations. Similar to Blood Bowl leagues, this game would go from good to possibly great. Id love to set up a ongoing operation with the gangs of 2-3 of my warhammer loving mates.
That and we need a proper storyline for our own custom Gangs...I don't wanna replay a story about Escher and the Matriarchy. I want my Gangs to shine. It would give us incentive to make multiple Gangs, replay the story repeatedly to see how it fairs with different Houses...Substance.
