I don't know how you guys manage to have so many issues..
The first time I played 15 I had that bug.
The second time what I did was ignore the archaeotech until all doors were sealed, and all enemies were dead.
Then, I went to it, triggered the floor, turned off the floor, walked up to it, end mission with victory.
Same, didn't have a softlock at all during the campaign, nor even a crash. Call me lucky, I guess, but I am not short changing the concerns. They probably do exist, just being represented poorly as an exaggeration of how bad they actually are. To what degree? Dunno. There can be a lot wrong with why the game bugs out more for others while less for some. How old is the player's rig? What other systems are on the computer that could be clashing with the game? tons of unknowns that people seem to be conflating as being 100% the devs fault.
Not to say the devs are not at fault for quite a bit, but fair is fair, if you are running this game on an older computer, then you will have problems playing it, and I think that many people do not account for that. Then again, plenty are playing on properly spec'd PC's and still have issues, so it seems case by case. Doesn't help that the "AI" issue is being called a bug, when it isn't...it is just bad AI design (A different issue, but certainly not a bug).
But I guess that no matter what, a game will have it's nay-sayers. I honestly didn't realize that this game would have such a fierce push back team, but then again, I don't typically join game forums on day 1 of launch, so...
Close doors
Mop Up Dog Soldiers
Gather Archeotech
Hope you don't crash in the process
I crashed three times tonight, but I eventually made it through. My system is more than capable to handle the game's requirements. Chapter 15 left a genuinely sour taste in my mouth. I really enjoy the game, when it's not crashing. I hope someone is listening.
I have pretty much abandoned it, I don't like the fact that you have to use fixed gangs/fighters
I would've prefered it if there were 3 campaings, one for each gang, and you could use your "operations gangs" for them, or something like that.
Well story unlocks customization (hair/gasmasks) in gang mode, so I guess most do it for these unlocks.
Obviously the main draw of the game is making and progressing your own gang, so I'll likely not play it a second time, but it was a decent addition to the game imo.
The only technical issues I had were related to the dropping items in an aura bug, which isn't unique to the campaign.
