Is this game worth getting just for singleplayer?
Is there some meaningful (as in not just tutorial for multiplayer) singleplayer content? Store page left the impression of this being mostly PVP game.

If you like horrible AI, crashes and game breaking bugs, sure.

Yea, basically endless gameplay loop, many of use put hundreds or thousands of hours in Mordheim just with SP, and with Necromunda it's going to be that all over again.

Except for the fact this game is way worse than Mordheim in its current state.

Having a blast with the single player so far haven't encountered any bugs but the ai is pretty gosh damn retarded :P

Yeah the AI is rather bad lol. I have had enemy gangers sit on overwatch on the opposite side of the map for the whole duration of the battle having done nothing im half way to Albuquerque before he notices I've stolen all the loot and ran.

There's a nice core to the game which could be really excellent with its open ended SP campaign. I think you could argue the campaign is pretty grindy and can get same-y but if the gameplay carries it then the gameplay carries it. Think for SP people are now waiting on finding out how further development/fixes will help allow the gameplay to not leave everyone as cross as Derek is about playing the game.

Well, the game is basically split into 2 parts, the story campaign and the operations/multipalyer.

In the campaign oyu paly through 15 premad emissions with premad egnags. So oyu can't customize anything, it's simply 'you get voiceover7cutscenne, get a bunch of dudes/dudettes, and poitned at objective of missions. Not bad, nto great, works good to familiarise with the game from what the devs said.

The other mode of play is that you start an actuall gang, hrie gangers to use in missions, and customise them RPG like with different weapons, armor, consumables, attribute changes and passive and active skills. Each gang you make is persitent, so any loot/xp etc. gained during a mission will be with your gang permanently, but there's also permadeath, equipment can be lost permanently, etc.

In that mode you can play operations, which are basically random generated mini-campaigns, with a coupel of missions against various enemie gangs(which are generated at the start of each op, so they will be somewhat persistent throughout an operation), once you finish (or abandon) and operation, oyu can just start another one for the same gang, no limits there.

The other thign you play in that mode is skirmishes of up to 4 parties. those can be Either AI or human as you pick, and 'assuming they kept it the same a stheir previous game) you can change various settings for a skirmish, including one where you can select not to have any permanent gain or losses from a skirmish (good for learning pvp/friendly matches).

TL;DR: Besides the simpel 15 mission sotry campaign, the game allows you to build custom gangs that you can take through an endless loop of random generated pve, pvp and coop missions, with permadeath and permagain enabled for pve, and optional for pvp. And free chocie what oyu do at what poitn withotu any requirements to play anythign pseciifc.

Im always astonished about some peoples low expectations... The AI is simply not competetive. At all. So no idea how anybody could get entertainment out of that... Ok, then theres Goat Simulator... I get it.... :steammocking:

To be fair sometimes the AI really has its moments.

Recently the AI managed to capture and objective, sabotage the zip lines leading there, and thus forcing me to take a long way to get to the objective.

OK it F.. Ed up everything else, handing me the remaining 4 objectives for free, getting all its gangers killed and looted clean in the process, but it had a good idea.
Once.
Which did nothing to help it, but it was there!

Yea, crazy me that doesn't like a game that crashes, has worse AI than the team's previous effort, a needlessly drawn out turn system, and game breaking bugs. And it is only me complaining. Check out the tech support section. :steamfacepalm:

Wasn't a criticism. :) Although I see the white knighting against reality is here too so apologies if it seemed that way.

Honest impression so far - I am enjoying it, the AI can be dense, but then one mistake and the same AI will capitalise, but from the good old days of my table top Orlock gang comes a faithful effort at Necromunda in a digital package. I never played Mordheim, i'm a 40k dude - and i'm enjoying it - the campaign imparts the basics, and then when you make your own gang it does get more interesting with the open ended play cycle of operations. So happy days if your fragile little mind has not been tainted by this Mordheim guff, if it has been - maybe play some more Mordheim?!

All good buddy, just banter anyway. Really funny how what you spoke of appeared directly after as well. Making no valid point whatsoever, just spouting nonsense and personal opinion.
