Devs... This game will not last long.
Here's my main reason.
I was really curious about how gangs such as cawdor vs van saar will end up.
especially considering 5 classes, and 5 slots which means basically every gang ends up with the same meta.

For example.... In this game, you and I could play goliath vs orlock or escher. due to 5 slots and 5 classes, we would both end up with 1 of each class. Weapons are class restricted, which further ensures similarities, and with the fact that both of us have 5 people max, means our gangers will be similar in strengths/weaknesses too. You end up with gangs that are only different in aesthetics and stat bonuses basically.

Another problem is that there is no overall goal. You basically just fight skirmish battles with your elite 5 kill team until you're bored.

So to me, this will flop or not last long.
And with Focus being the publsiher, post release support ain't gonna be good, but that shouldn't surprise anyone.

have you look into this game at all only coz Goliaths(closes combat) vs Orlocks(range) so both gangs would be built for there strong points Escher are Dots and movement i think so your load outs wont be the same. so stop being one of them and grow up or go to there Discord and say it to where they reply.

Most don't, they just like to spout off
If they won't like this games features then no one will.

you can take any combination of classes, like taking 5 heacies or 4 brawlers and an lay mechanic

also the fun about a mostly single player game is... it cant die. it just gets released and lasts as long as steam does.

I am kinda also frustrated by small gang. Combinations may be many, but large chunk would not be effective. Won't it end up like looter-tactics instead of looter-shooter like, say, vermintide?

well heres the real question, do you want 2 and a half hour matches? and do you think more people want 2 and a half hour matches than who want shorter ones?

do you know how rediculasly long the games get when theres 40 damn gangers to move per turn?

not only that but you spend 3/4 of your time *waiting to play* rather than playing

yea i not a fan of the small classes if think it should be like 10 v 10 or 7 v 7 v 7 and 5v5v5v5 depending on what type of PVP your looking for.

Well, I got used to good staff. If there are problems, they could be solved or avoided.
First of all - why not to make a standart TBS game where we sent units by mouse clicking on map?
Some tbs games implement simultanious turns, age of wonders for example.
Well, I play tactics for good tactics first of all. If there is a restaraunt with tasty food far away, I would go there rarely. If it would be a so-so food restaraunt close by, I won't go there at all after one or two tries.
Probably I would need to wait for reviews here.

well becuase they are the mordheim devs hired to make another mordheim style game, with the 3d movement system

they DID actually make it simultanious turns at first, but it was such a disaster they had to stop, delay the game and rewrite it out of the game after player testing, turns out it really sucks in this format.

This is why the 4-way is a dead duck from the start. They shouldn't have sacrificed larger team sizes for this.

That's before we even get to how easy it is going to be to abuse 3 different AIs fighting each other.

The absurd part is the 4-way mp with 3 gangs. We all should wait for a steep discount and a complete edition with all of the overpriced dlc in one package.
I've never seen people who don't understand why there are only small gangs in such games btw. Nobody wants to wait 50 minutes per turn until all units have been moved :admech:

Why on earth do you think each clan will run one of each class? That would suggest that all 5 classes were absolutely perfectly balanced, which isn't realistic.

They weren't 'hired' by anyone. Stop spreading that lie. Focus don't own RF and never have, Focus are the publisher, RF are the developer.

Also how is that supposed to be a good thing for anyone that the game was a disaster that they have done a rescue mission on to try to salvage some costs? Name one artistic project ever that turned out good when it had to be rewritten from scratch cause the first version sucked so bad? Especially in such a short period of time.

on the contrary you wont find a good game that diddnt have a major revision of some failing mechanic at some point in development, i dare say you wont find any game that doesnt fit that discription

You think all games get major core features ripped out and reworked following disastrous alpha tests?

Cause to preempt they don't like at all. Normally those sorts of major decisions are made before the games reach that stage. Unless the games are bad of course, in which case... yeah you get the idea

usually it gets worked out using in house testing XD but yeah... pretty much all games undergo refinements on that level in at least 1 area
