Is it true you cant create your own character and you have to use a premade?

You can. After 5 minutes of playable intro you are immediately asked if you want to make your own character.

Not true. You can create your own character. However the visual options kind of stink.

Let's give the complete answer here, folks. Yes, you can replace your initial character 5 minutes in, but the game has a full party after a while and those guys you do not get to replace until hours and hours into the game as you come across merc tokens and the storyline opens up party slots. So ultimately, yes, you can make your own party, but it's going to take a while and you can only do it to a limited degree because there is no grinding (every fight has been manually created by the developers).

Party isnt thst importsnt to me. Initial character is. But how many npc members are there to choose from

6 characters, so your initial character is just one of many. Other than the name, it's a pretty generic experience. There is a lack of races, character art/models, classes and general customization. I found it extremely underwhelming.
