Where is that paladin

You won't be seeing him until you leave Skara Brae. He's located at some makeshift camp surrounded by soldiers. It's a tough fight early on so be prepared.

Either I'm missin something, but I explored that area and he's nowhere to found. Does the quest update if you kill him or only if you obtain holy symbol. I might have fight him, but not checked every chest, etc...

where *exactly* is he? I'm in that area but I can't find the symbol at all.

I have found him. Fight paladins near the village of Fiona, then proced left. there's small pathway to the campsite.
Try to avoid second group of paladins when returning, they can easily spot you.

once you get it it adds a "cleric" tree to an existing party member, which is a clunky way to do it given the lack of a respec option.
