Puzzle weapons??
I honestly dont understand these things... I got 3 of them so fare, eye of the storm and and dispelling discipline. Eye of the storm had one puzzle on it and then i could insert a gem in it. But is that just it for this sword or is there more steps to it? It changed name to smoldering eye of the storm.

Discipline had two puzzles and allowed me to insert two gems, and again i have no clue if there is more to it or??

Also does each sword only take one gem, or can you choose it yourself?

Allegedly the devs said Discipline only has the two stages. As for the fire sword I haven't been able to find a 2nd stage, seems like it's just the one.

The final upgrade is putting them into those elven wooden alter things? Just need to find the right one for each weapon i guess

Thanks for the answer both of you. regarding the elven shrine, i read on one of the loading screenes(i think) that once you unlock the weapon, it will give you a phrase that will hint of what shrine to put it in... Might not be the case though, but then i have no idea what the text of the shrines is good for...

Yes, when shrines are in play you get the phrase. Not all weapons have 3 stages.

Yeah I didn't know about the phrases so when solved the weapon puzzles didn't take any notice. Now when i look at them i can't see the phrases, i don't know if thats because they didn't have any or you only see it once when you solve the puzzles?

I solved the sword pummel-twist it until the symbols matched puzzle (which required no thinking) but I cannot get anything else out of the sword (Smoldering Eye of the something). How do I access the riddle part, if there is only the pummel puzzle to solve first?

the first puzzle weapon only has one puzzle.

But is there a riddle to match up with a shrine-thingie? I have the puzzle ax which had two puzzles and a riddle. Does the sword have only a puzzle, or a puzzle and a riddle?
