Pre Made Bard Companion?

Hey there,

I just defeated Mangar in the Tower and now I am wondering: Will I ever get additional companions, especially a bard companion? I still have the quest from the docks where I need to get drunk, but apparently the only character who is able to do that is a bard.

Now I could just create a bard with a mercenary Token, but if it's possible I want to avoid it and play with pre-made characters only (besides the main char).

So my question to you is, whether or not there will be additional companions later on, and whether among these is a bard.

Yes, you will get a bard at some point. After you leave Skara Brae. Also, the quest on the docks isn't related to the normal consumable alcohols but 3 unique ones that anyone can use out of combat.

You can also give one mercenary token to the keeper at the old adventure guild to create a own char and Exchange it with one in the party you dont want. E.g. if you are a fighter or a caster, you could drop the other fighter or caster to guild rooster and put the generated char in.

Yeah, but as mentioned that's what I refuse to do. ^^

So you refuse to use the pre-made Bard starting character, and for some reason don't want to make any additional characters. And no, it's not obvious why Melody "is not an option", and no other custom chars are allowed. odd.

Melody is not an option because I wouldn't have asked for bard characters if I had kept her.
Obviously I am past that point of character creation when I fought that mage guy in the tower. ^^
Just want to play with pre made characters only - if possible.

It's understandable when player wants to make main character as himself, i.e. same gender or name, and other than that to keep storyline companions.

You get a fantastic over powered bard a bit later. Also you will open up to 6 combatants later. I'm only level 19 so I think i have a long ways to go but at some point around level 15 i opened up to 8 combat action points and 6 companions.

You will find additional party members as you progress the main story line. You will eventually wind up with doubles in all main classes that already skilled in certain trees. The dialogs between all the members are pretty funny so you may want to mix it up just to hear them.
