offering statue south east Skara Brae (above)??

its a none code wheel statue/none elven weapon...riddle is "the turtle swims through dangerous swell, yet always protected by it's shell" no freakin clue...any help?

My off the top of my head guess is either a unique shield named the turtle shell or some such or just any old shield if the statue isn't particular. I didn't have a spare shield on me to check though, and all the ones in the shop nearby were too expensive to use as an offering. If anyone figures it out, please let the community know

ya i thought shield to...used the one the dwarf party member came with...no dice

Well, darn. Maybe it's a unique shield or maybe it's something else, guess we'll have to keep looking.

My first instinct said a pearl and a clam or oyster shell or something but I haven't found those yet... so maybe not... :) Still haven't figured it out but on first playthrough

There is only space for one slot. Can only be helmet, dagger etc.

Not that it can't be a food item or such.

So you worked it out then? Thanks! I've not gotten around to his quest yet, guess I'll look into it a bit more.

The item is the turtle brooch you get from the Drunkard at the docks.

You can finish the quest once the Stennish Isles are unlocked. The tavern there sells the final item required to finish it - a bottle of "Selkie's Tears".

Yes, I feel so nauseous that such a huge grammar mistake wasn't dealt with, I puked my bedroom under. I can't stand it. Let's burn Fargo to the stake! Barring that, I simply can't watch such an enormous mistake, and that for the DC! With such an error, they dare call it a bard's tale..ermm...bards' tale 4?! The audacity!

Nono, I can't take it anymore!! Where is my rope?! I'm going to look for the nearest tree to hang myself! It's SO unbearable!
