Offering puzzle in Kylearan's Tower
Anyone managed to figure out the "With the components of health come happiness" offering shrine? The mouth next to it speaks about leaves, red color and something of number multiplied by 9. O_o

the riddle means the health potion. look under crafting for the recipe. it's water and something else. this somethingelse is needed. the root of 9 is 3 , so you need 3 of them.

Aha. I was almost there but the "the number that will, by itself be multiplied by nine" made no sense to me. "The number that will, multiplied by itself, make nine" would have been no problem.

Thanks for the help on this one. And yes, that grammar does not make sense: "by itself be multiplied by nine" does not mean anything meaningful.

I'm assuming it's supposed to be "by itself be multiplied, BE nine" -- yet another of this game's incredibly numerous grammar and spelling mistakes.

"the number that will, by itself be multiplied by nine" is clearly phrased wrong. That number would be nine, not three... ( x*x = x*9 => x=9 )

The thing is, the entire thing is literally 1 letter off. If you change the 2nd by to be. Changing two letters and making it "is", would be even clearer, but it loses the same old timey feel that all the be's and by's have.

I'm guessing someone got confused on the be's and by's and made a typo. Generally the type of thing I overlook, my brain fills in, and never get slowed down by (seems many others are also like that).

Factorials in math english are termed "by" also. So if the result doesn't make sense with multiplication; try factor: 3^2 = 9. Therefor "3 by itself equals 9" does make sense. For the 5 yo(s).
