Yep.
Whining about a game doesn't make your PC specs magically become a purple Epic computing machine with +5 graphics and +3 power ))
Upgrade RAM (cheapest + easiest)
Upgrade video card (easy but can be expensive)
If upgrading either of these 2 components won't get a system where it needs to be to play a game...then a decision about whether to build or buy a new system.
Expecting to play this game on an old school laptop ain't gonna cut it in most cases ))
I also find it funny when some people keep trying to spin it as unique occurences when people make these observatins regarding inXile and barrows deep, when it's quite obvious there are quite a few people at this point in time holding similar opinions.
It's a puzzle game as evidenced by where the focus on the game is. That's not what previous bards tale games were, so it should be pretty easy for anyone to understand why people feel something is amiss when it tries to use the bards tale name while being a completely different style of game.
And yeah, I'm not gonna bother with inXile products in the future either. They burned the bridge with this one and their refusal to acknowledge how they messed up. (especially when you consider they even contracted out important parts of the game for others to do for them. Nothing says "i care" like just paying someone else to do it without even making sure the theme and style of previous titles were followed).
streamers numbers is MUCH MUCH less than actual people with performance problems.
pretty ridiculous to use streamers as a benchmark
system spec does not matter with regards to this sort of crash, as evident by the bugs report thread
refer bugs thread. and below min specs means nothing when we have actual and many instances of other players playing with below spec hardware on this forum
unless it is something dumb like AC:Odssey where some chips are not supported for DRM reasons.
you are just a fanboy ignoring real issues. You are not helping those facing the problem in anyway. Like in countless other threads and posts
the devs need to fix this problem.
go fan your idolation on inxile forums. plenty of you guys there.
yup me too. The concepts described in the kickstarter for Numenera was fantastic (all the tides and how it ties to your subconscious realm ) . Sigh, i lament the wasted opportunity
what i felt we got was more of an interactive story than a modern rpg where decisions matter.
Ugly graphics too. Felt like a 90s photoshop job with objects standing out in stark contrast to the background. ( unlike PoE , which in comparison seem to have things fit seamlessly)
Was the game a hot broken mess on release? You bet your ass it was, this release, with all the key distribution issues to boot, was shameful, especially when coming from a studio like inXile. This isn't some dude in his basement making a game in his spare time and releasing it, many of these people have been in the industry for over a decade or more.
Will i back another inXile project? Probably not, after ToTN and this i think it's better to wait and buy their "Director's Cut" editions on a sale, if ever.
