Blazing Star = Darkest Dungeon
I see what you did there inXile Entertainment, you clever nerdy dogs you, and I love you for it.

For the people that does not know.
Blazing Star is an item, that you can use to either light up and get the first attacks, or dim the light and get more gold/rewards.

However fluff text on the abilities are quotes from Darkest Dungeon, which has a similar mechanic, more light, less challenge, less light, more reward.

The way is lit. The path is clear. We require only the strength to follow it.
Sorry could not find a youtube video for that quote, but trust me, it is in both games.

That was the first thing going through my mind as I've found the torch. First I thought it was a simple torch, but looking at my inventory, I noticed, that it was a trinket. Reading the flavor text, I had to smirk, because Darkest Dungeon is a realy great Dungeon Crawler. And, of course, in my mind the narrators voice was reading the text.

There are a couple of things in BT4 that I see as references to other games.Another is the Source Dagger. I see it as a reference to the Divinity Original Sin games. "This finely-wrought dagger carves the souls from those you kill with it. Sometimes, you can hear the echoes of another world as it sings through the air" https://i.imgur.com/v2WPMEW.jpg

I wish I remembered. Was probably around level 10-12 maybe? Maybe a few later. I've used it on my rogue since I found it.

It's from one of the offering shrines in Skara Brae.

I've got at least one elven weapon from one. Got 10 Haggis from another. Some things are interesting, some are useless.

Ah cool. I feel like I have so much junk in my inventory now. Hopefully, they will rebalance a lot of stuff in this game, then maybe one day I will replay it and get all this stuff.

Yeah, the inventory could certainly use some work along with the merchant system in general. I sold stuff to merchants to get enough to get the achievement but in the end it wasn't necessary. After getting 10K I never sold another item that I recall. And I think the only time I spent any significant coins to buy something was from the girl in Skara Brae selling the mage clothes. That was the first place/time I saw any sorcerer robes and was the best quality for the remainder of the game. Ended with just barely under 30K.

Perhaps more telling is the fact that its ability, Vampirism, restores 2 spell points when you kill an enemy with it. Similar to the Divinity: Original Sin 2 ability 'Source Vampirism,' which deals damage and steals Source points from the target.

Additionally, the soul trader NPC upstairs in the Adventurer's Guild beneath Skara Brae mentions coming from Rivellon (the world in which the Divinity series is set) outright.
