Achievements Broken

There is an in game achievement: A Light in the Darkness, that requires the player to complete the game without hint or skip buttons. I have completed the game several times, and only once unlocked that achievement, every other time without using hints or skips it remains locked. Does anyone know a way to fix the achievements, or a specific place to click on screen that actually registers continuing the cut-scenes instead of blatantly lying? Thanks.

To also clarify, yes, I have clicked the click to continue button on said cut-scenes and it still doesn't care if I did so by the end of the game, the achievement still remains locked.
