Buying Tavernkeep, Armorer, Wizard, or Gladiator?
When you drop 50 essence for them are they available to be bought forever, only for that dimmension, or for that run only?

I'm assuming that spending real life money does the first.

They're bought with caps (1 billion gold each cap) not essence so you really only have a hope of getting them when you get to final dimension and then you won't be reseting again. As far as buying them with real money earlier, I doubt they'd be lost upon dimensional reset but I can't confirm either way since I just waited. The only tavern bought things that reset every dimension are sodas as far as I know so my guess is that they would stay available.

Huh. I didn't realize that caps were a currency. Thanks!

I paid to unlock Gladiator. New to Steam, $1 out of the $5 minimum didn't seem bad. In hindsight, I'd unlock the Owner. Gladiator is ok, Gladius will get you far, but ultimately you want Relic levels, as cheap as possible, and nothing like the barkeep's Stein seems to do it best.

They are not reset. If you can pay the gold to hire who you bought you're allowed to. Certainly made first runs with a Gladiator and 4 Soda Junkies interesting.

They went on a lot longer than I wanted. Stupid gladiator keeping them alive for so long....

Right? I have this weird thing where I root for the enemies if my team gets too high in a single run.

Damn Skippy. Right now I'm earning Caps to unlock the Owner. Over time his Stein will pay for itself. The more progress you make the better it gets. Anyway, I don't need a 5000 level run on Auto-Attack, I need a 3000 level run. Those idiots refuse to die.

I'm use %gold a my measuring stick fo success because gold leads to Caps. Not Essence, not ATT, not Mag%. I need more gold per fight. There is a sweet spot where it stops being wholely profitable to keep going on, especially in the lower levels, and even higher levels of your reach. Sometimes you need to upgrade while they're fighting. Deciding to let them do it has led to an hour or so of twiddling my thumbs. I'll take the 20% gold increase on the relic than waiting an hour.

Does the gold giving shield stack if you put it on all the characters? And then, could it be profitable to run 1 healer 4 thieves and steal from everyone before you kill them?

As far as I can tell, yes. So does adding Vaan's Magnet or Midas Plate. Get that gold % as high as possible.

It is more efficient to use 4 dark mages and a shifter with darkmage and knight crystal, let mine run all of last night hit floor 16k, quit the dungeon when I woke up since they sill had full health, earned so many caps I'm swimming in them and I did all mine without gold or items find. I have also tried the same run with Midas Armors, Gold shields, Mystical claws and vaans magnets and still came out ahead on gold, essence and gear using the Darkmage setup, on a sidenot my mages are doing well over 200k a shot making melee close to worthless at higher levels. Melee is only really good for rare gear finding anyways.

And yeah they are bought forever once you unlock them you can use them like any other char.

A shifter with Wizzard + DM and a second DM are all you need. The wizzards ability will kill every group of 3 or more in one shot, and for two enemies they will each use one Necroblast.

Does anyone know if the Stein weapon procs on magic attacks? Like if a Wizard or Darkmage uses magic or AOE attacks, will the 10% relic level up chance occur? Or does it have to be an actual physical attack?

Has to be physical.
