First Dimension
What all should I aim for before leaving the first dimension? Have all tavern upgrades maxed out and up to about $800,000 gold. Any VIP stuff I should get before making the leap to the next dimension?

Since you only keep all tavern upgrades, you should use as much gold as possible, though you did use a non efficient amount of time on dimension 1, all I can say is find a recent post in the discussion titled "VIP Priority", I wrote on what to do there.

Cool. I'll look it up.

I still haven't left the first dimension. Haven't even played. Just check in every now and then to pull in money from the bank. Up to 6.3 mil.

For the best progress you want to leave dimensions as fast as you can.

you reset 10 times, then you reset one last time and enter warrior's dimension.

I personally had a lot of good items in D1, so I stayed for a while. I got to where I could beat it in about 2 hours, and then farmed it for another hour to get the 7 kitchen upgrades for Dinner Boy (Good starting equipment via easter egg), first warp upgrade, first inheritance upgrade, and the other important tavern upgrades.

To do this, I just started at level 1 a few times, went in with 1 healer, 2 fighters, 1 thief, 1 knight, and just stomped through the first 500 levels like 3 times.

If you beat the first 100 levels without many good items, you might as well just go to the next dimention and farm the same stuff there... because you also will be getting essences, but they are not that great at the very start. You can end up farming more by increasing the speed of your 2nd run with dinner boys.

Still just spamming the bank when I get the chance in first dimension. Up to 20 mil. Know I'll make a lot more once I move on but now I'm feeling kind of OC about it.

Yeah, the bank upgrade is what I would do after I get everything else and I get 20mil in a quick run. The bank upgrade will only give you 1M at max level. You will be able to make 1M in a few minutes, if you just play for maybe 4-6 hours. Similar to the upgrade the reduces the cost of hires... it is just ineffective.

Well I've manged to buy every VIP upgrade to max short of the ones that cost 100M and 500M. Going to get the money to buy all the pets then move on. Made sure to have enough money left to still get 1 mil every 10 min.

It sounds like you might be at the position to start with 5 dinner boys, get 50K in one run starting at level, then beat the bosses! 4 dinner boys and 1 priest can do most things. 500 needs 4 healers, 700 needs the warriors. You can probably get to 800 easy enough and then grind some gear and get to 900, 1k. In warrior dimention you just lulz 4DM 1 knight and start super grinding :D

Now have all the vip upgrades other then 100m/500m. Own all pets and still have enough to make 1 mil every 10 min in the bank.

Is there even much reason to continue on by this point? I've unlock most of everything by not playing the game.
