Pharaoh + Cleopatra

Trade doesnt happen?
Ok this is probably dumb... but im on the first mission with trade.. ive opened trade routes to all the cities I can.
Ive asked one city to sell me figs... they wont, their traders just walk through town complaining that my city wont trade - even though ive set my storage yards and granaries to accept figs. Im also trying to sell papyrus... but it wont sell and nothing happens....

What am i missing?

After you set up the trade route go into the commerce menus and set the amounts you want to trade. If your inventory is low you won't sell, but as soon as your inventory goes above the limit you set a trader will come and buy your excess.

It's also possible that they've already traded their limit. Each city on the map has a specific amount that they're wiling to buy or sell of any given good in a single year. Check their icon on the map to see what the limits are and how much you've already traded.

Further as i recall...doesn't all trading have to go through a dock or a trading warehouse? Simply having storage yards or granaries set up to properly accept. You'll also need to set your granaries to GET, not to simply accept, otherwise the stuff will simply sit in your trading lots.

Never heard of a trading warehouse, caravans should be able to pick up/deliver goods directly at the storage yards. Unless that's what you meant. Or unless we've played differen versions of the game somehow.
