Why? Though I prefer the PC versions of Serious Sam, the Serious Sam titles have always on been on consoles... Personally I never played Serious Sam 3 on the PS3, but on the Xbox 360 it played quite nicely. Definitely wouldn't want to see Croteam stop porting their titles to consoles
They ported The Talos Principle to the PS4, why couldn't they do the same with Serious Sam, but on both consoles perhaps?
I understand why devs could consider porting the game in future - to expand their playerbase, and it makes sense to release Fusion as retail 60 bucks title when they will finish remastering all three games in year or two. Could be easily a smash hit - 3in1 pack of big games, could be even sold at retail as full priced title.
But you already have everything consoles can possibly offer and a lot more.
Talos is new IP and it's a slow puzzle game so it made sense to release everywhere - it doesn't have already existing playerbase.
On the other hand there is more than 3 millions of Serious Sam players on PC alone which makes PC games a priority for both fusion and next title. Fusion could be very profitable in a long term as it builds trust to developer. And playerbase which feels safe will be more likely buying future games while directly and indirectly expanding awareness for titles and developer (and that's the important part in oversaturated industry).
Fair enough, though my reasoning of wanting it on consoles is simply because I enjoy playing Serious Sam on the console. It's not a must for me, but it is for some others out there. Especially the ones who don't own a decent PC
Sure the textures weren't the best, but the games themselves overall were playable. I still had just as much fun as I do on the PC version.
It was the same for me. When I was younger, all I had was the Xbox versions of Serious Sam. So even if I don't need a console version, I still would greatly appreciate one.
