English voice acting

Will this only be included the SCHWESTERNSCHAFT version, or will we recive the english voice acting in a update patch when that comes out?

That's unfortunately on the backburner for the time being. I can't go into specifics at the moment, both because we're under NDA and because we still have many details to iron out.

Suffice to say, Xander and I both want to see the dub through to completion. We can't promise anything, though. If there's anything to announce, you'll find it at the Schwer and Schwer Alike blog.

That goes without saying -- if / when we're able to implement English voices, they'll be entirely optional. Depending on how we're able to go about it, we'd either add a language select to the Options Menu or we'd have the F2 key cycle between voice and subtitle options.

That's assuming we're able to get everything greenlit, of course.

Please do not turn this into a dub vs. sub flame war. If and when the game is dubbed in English, the voice recording will be overseen by WOMI and myself to ensure 100% faithfulness to the spirit of the original game. I personally think our choices for Iris[www.darksidetranslations.com] and Seyfarth[www.darksidetranslations.com] surpass their Japanese counterparts, but I'd never remove the option of playing the game with its original Japanese cast for those that prefer authenticity.

If anyone has an issue with people being allowed to choose for themselves, that speaks volumes about their tolerance of others and their belief in a free society.
