Wrong. Everything is influenced by the target platform. Obviously graphics and performance are a lot. But w/o enough CPU power (a big problem for phones) or RAM you can't do the same type of physics calculation to get the same accuracy and gameplay. Shortcuts to address the lower resources as well as by the porting itself (mid range PC / consoles to ARM based, low power, varying clock speeds slow ass f ck phone at that) can create bugs and instabilities.
You are talking on the internet, no need to act like you are Captain America. I am not in front of you, you are not in front of me.
The phrasing on this sentence as well as earlier saying that a version "seems to exist" I assume you have never in person played or seen the alleged port?!
I actually did a Google search but can't even find any links that show that Farsight has ever actually shown anything Oculus Rift related on CES, they have only announced the Rift version their. Again, if you have other information return a link instead of an excuse.
What you are more likely talking about (and what fit your description more) is either this very old mod (made by an user not related to Farsight at all) that only worked on DK2 Oculus Rift development kits
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA6nnHGvIVA
Or using a third party tool that forces VR in all real time games like Tridef or VorpX.
And third, even if they would have showed a version for Rift of at a CES a couple of years ago that had problems, so what?! A couple of years is the development time of a whole game!
I assume its spa hes trying and not some stern only in house thing. thatd seem overkill for stern
Some mental gymastics on display here...
You really have no idea how THIS multi-platform game is developed, and you keep saying ported... stop. Nothing is being "ported" from one codebase to another, and no, I am not reffering to any 3rd party mod.
The Rift VR SPA app does seem to still exist, meaning it hasn't yet been "officially" killed off.
I was asked where I have played the PC VR app, and I answered.
Seems someone else was capable of a "quick search" that yielded results. Edit to add: but did this geekdad person get to PLAY the GotG table in VR?
Wait till SPA goes free to play, then we'll see what happens. Also, Stern really wants the SPA app to have table releases on same day/date as the real thing. Gary wants you to LEARN about the real world physical pinball table within the app, not have it be an experience that "replaces" the real thing. There are a lot of moving parts, and Farsight is currently working on two completely unrelated games.
I seriously don't think Farsight knows what is going to happen more than 3 months from now.
Clicking on a 9.99 buy does nothing. Are there plans to introduce it to the steam market place making it a more simple process?
I suspect it'll get patched shortly
If your playing this, can you tell me if you get delays in the rom? features, multi balls have awful wait times between sequence. And you can't fast skip dmd sequence at the start/end of a ball?
No place to buy them in the Oculus app either, good thing you went with them instead of steam, how those sales going? ...not so good? Maybe take a look and make sure people CAN ACTUALLY BUY YOUR STUFF!!
They got the long unwanted animations in the game, that are cool ONCE.. not every time.. but they forgot to make their pay to play game actually accept payment.. oopssy..
