dx11. Are you playing Pinball Arcade in dx11 ?
I have installed Steam and The Pinball Arcade; when I click on download it asks if Steam is already installed. I answer yes and from a window it launches it but nothing happens. I then go to see if it has added but nothing.

I have checked the table from the Season 5 in The Pinball Arcade after having launched it; it isn't free.

You have Pinball Arcade installed, but you need to install Stern Pinball Arcade for the free table. They are two different programs, Pinball Arcade is one and Stern Pinball Arcade is another. You will have two games in your library when installing the other program.

Click free to play and install Stern.

Later, have a good weekend, now back to playing Metallica LE and Elvis pinball on my PC.

I have noticed that something is improved. Now it is possible to install Stern pinball arcade but when I run it a window message stops it during the initial launch. I have tried to change the configuration without any result. It has just DX11.
I wonder if the Stern Pinball instance may conflicts with the Pinball arcade?
What is your experience?

It has nothing to do with Pinball Arcade. Does your video card support DX 11? Pinball Arcade is DX 9c. Probably the issue.
With dxdiag I have found that it supports directx 12.

Humm, I do not know. I don't have either one installed so I'm not much help at the moment. I thought that the DX thing would be the problem. Other than having all of the correct Visual C++ packages, I'm not sure, will have to think about it a bit more. Unless it has something to do with your resolution settings and the Stern PA settings. It just crashes to the desktop with no message or anything? and you're running Windows 7, 8, 10?

Read the topic on page 4 of this forum, it's called "game crashes". They talk about SPA crashing in full screen, this may be the issue. I didn't look through the rest of the topics but you may find an answer around here. Only about 10 pages of topics.

Later
I have read with attention your references; I have found no fix.
Here is the video about what happens when I start the table> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM4gK_V_cq0&feature=youtu.be
There you may see some attempts to change my configuration with no result.

I just don't know, you should ask Farsight. IMO, SPA is a POS, it contains a trojan virus (SternPinballArcade.exe contains: TR/Crypt.ZPACK.Gen2). My virus checker picked up on it last year, people always say that it's a false positive, but that's a crock. So here's what happened. You told me about your problem, so I'm like OK I'll download the game and see if it runs on my PC. As expected Farsight hasn't fixed anything, the virus is still present in the software. Anyway, SPA doesn't even finish downloading and my virus checker goes off again. This time I must have let the program sit on my PC too long before deleting it again. To make a long story short, I've never had a problem with my PC in over two years. I download SPA, virus checker goes off, obvious trojan and a just little bit later the trojan shuts down my virus checker by infecting/corrupting/deleting the avira.oe.nativecore.dll then the trojan/virus starts to attack the programs that start up with my pc. I'm gald that I know what I'm doing most of the time to stop attacks and fix an issue. As far as SPA goes, they can keep their trojans and will never see a nickel from me.

I have sent an email message about my issue to Farsight.
