Why can't I play the Tau?

I purchased the DoWII complete pack, but I can't play the tau in standard multiplayer. Why is this?

There is no Tau race in standart DoW 2 Retribution, only in Last Stand.

Yeah if you want to play the Tau you want DoW1.

Ah. Well I was just wondering. I actually play Guard in real life, so they are they only ones I really care about.
