Why such low health on Eldar Banshee squad?
Title says it all really.
I would have thought that an elite melee unit would be a lot less squishy?
I belive that by dropping certain Heroes from the roster i can boost them but as a starting unit they have such low base health.

eldar are made of paper, lots of damage, low health
But even my ranged Eldar units have more health :(
But I shall Prevail :)
Got this game a while back but had been playing all the DoW2 previous games so never really looked at it. But since reactivating it, thought i would try a new faction (apart from the Space marines which i have always played on the pc games and tabletop), and the Eldar have recindled my love of the franchise.

U should see the bansee deathwave on round 9 in colosium in last stand, a health is not needed, and in normal play 2 bansee squad pretty much much beats most units. Banshees imo r like elite assassins , who r all about killing u before u can counter attack or know that u have been attacked. by normal play is offline shirmish agasint computer, i dont do online except last stand .

In online multiplayer if used right can crush a space marine off the bat. If someone has the banshees and you didnt make shotguns you are screwed early on. They cut down people hard and when lvled even more deadlier. From what i recall playing space marines, i had to use the scout shotgun blast on them while have a tac squad shooting them, and the commander fighting in melee with his knock back on. They can even still be retreated after that and live.
Many thanks for the feedback guys, i have started to use a more tactical approach with my Banshee's. By using some hero powers on them such as invulnerability etc, I can now get them to the target without first enduring the withering fire as they approach. Now in melee range i hit banshee howl to suppress my victims as my ladies tear them to bits :)
I also use the Ranger honor guard aoe stealth to get them into melee range without any damage.
It was just my poor tactics and use of tactical powers and abilities, not the Stunning Banshees that was at fault :)

Using a falcon for transport is an old tactic from the tabletop. Deploy the banshees right on top of the enemy and they have the falcon for support.

Nice plan :) Will employ this method next game.
I have also restarted the campaign in hard mode, having a ball :)

Because the lore/rules to the game were made back in the 80s and then brits were a bit more sexist towards female units. Also the banshee wail from the mask was suppose to paralyze units but it doesn't do that in DOW2.
