Retribution, unlike soulstorm, doesn't stack with previous games for playable factions in multiplayer. DOW II & Chaos Rising aren't required to play Retribution fully, they're games in the series, not dlc. Retribution is a standalone expansion to the events of the 2 earlier games in the series.

All available races for the campaign & standard multiplayer are already included in Retribution's base game, it doesn't have unlockable factions through dlc. The only dlc for Retribution that affects standard multiplayer are skin packs.

There is dlc for the last stand mode ( multiplayer survival: 3 heroes vs 20 waves of enemies ) that adds 2 additional wargear items per hero, plus a new hero, the tau commander. The race packs add wargear for the single player campaign.

Summary: Based on the info you posted, unless you want skins, I'd say you don't really need any of the dlc for Retribution.

just to let you know,if you ever intend to play through the campaign, you'd be better off playin the base game and chaos rising.retributions campaign is a bit lackluster, imo.its great though for last stand.
