Might be just my luck then, but ill see how it goes, so far 2 days were without any bugs, otherwise i had it every 1-2 matches in Last Stand. Sound speed tweek looked like it helped, but then i started bugging nearly every match, so it didnt work.
Glad to hear...
Unter Null try these 2 things and let me know if they bug... if they DO bug than give me your sound card specs so i can try to understand whats going on......
1. Turn off Reverb* while sound speed is at 100--- DO this first if it bugs go to step 2
2. Keep reverb off and set sound speed to 0.. I have not tested it yet but 0 may be the default speed of the wave files. idk how they hard codded this into the game so 0 may = 100, If you want you can go to 50 first BUT DO NOT go over 100.
GL UNTER rn your the only one having a problem and i like to see it fixed so lets work together on this..... We can at least try.
I am 99.9% sure this bug is NOT a coding issue but more of a audio file issue... IF IT HAPPENS to anyone find out what the last sound you heard before the glitch if u can. IT CAN be just that one audio file that was not exported correctly and THAT WILL do things like cause a bug, play no sound or some cases i seen crash the game..
LAST STAND is where it bugged for me to add any extra info (IT NEVER bugged for me with sound at 100 only 300) but the mode was last stand and it did happen often before i set the speed.
So far I havent had a sound bug since my last reply. Reinstalling the game from an HDD to an SSD fixed the issue for me, I havent changed any sound speeds also and so far its working good.
My list of compiled possible fixes for the Sound Bug.
It doesn't actually fix the problem, no. Because these fixes don't really address the real root problem.
Based on what a few Elite Mod members and what other players from Relic RTS players were saying, they conclude based on the evidence of fixes and the nature of the bug, that its a memory leak. Now, whether its due to poor optimization with graphical or audio hardware, network throttling or even due to the OS, or heck a combination of all... its really unknown at this point.
All the fixes given at best help to reduce / optimize the memory usage or increase available memory usage (even in the giant list that I compiled).
