Global Conquest

Hey, anybody ever want a mode similar to what was in Dark Crusade and Soulstorm, but in DoW 2 and its expansions?

Just looking at the Sector Conquest aspect.

Hell yeah! I'd hoped that Retribution would be that game to bring back that mode, but alas......

Maybe we'll get it yet, out of another expansion, a big patch, or perhaps (But I'd prefer the other two options ><) DoW III

I'd buy another DoW2 expansion in an instant, regardless of what they do, but another expandalone in the veins of Retribution mixed with a conquest style map (planetary and/or galactic) in the style of Dark Crusade, fighting over territory with the other races, would be a dream come true.

The thing I missed most from Retribution was that the hero-characters were without their "squad-creeps" and switching out your heroes for honor guards wasn't as fun to me without the hero-powers and wargear.

But in any case, I trust that if/when we'll get a Dawn of War 3 from Relic it will be fun in any case. I never enjoyed the first Company of Heroes and I didn't play the sequel. All I ever enjoyed from Relic were the Dawn of War games.

I wonder how difficult it would be to mod something like that into Chaos Rising, or vanilla DoW II. I don't have the skills for it, but I'd definitely be interested in testing and providing feedback if someone is (Or plans on) doing something like that.
