Deathless armor is also the best armor for sorcerer hands down.
Now, if you want something other than that. I can sometimes go for hellblade, icon of pain, narcisist with extra melee armor, and red bubble. It does ok. Just can get over whelmed.
rune staff with extra damage and melee armor and clones does alright too. Never underestimate grey bubble for killing hard ranged armor.
Like, legit, the sorcerer with dopple is the only hero that gives a sense of progression since you don't get the best dopple at the beginning.
usually, the best way to have fun with it is to make the dopple more tank oriented, not damage while you can do damage with the teleport+doombolt or other ways.
fully focusing on the dopple will get boring as you don't get to do anything.
It's boring and unoriginal because every single level 20 Sorceror does the same thing. Dopples a big enemy, dopple heals itself with Deathless and Sustenance, Sorceror spends the whole time either teleporting away, or teleporting into the enemies to try and burn them, only to teleport into the path of every AOE ability his allies use ever.
Sure, it works, but it's so dull just doing the same thing as everyone else. Also I'd argue that Veil of Tears Farseer also has a sense of progression, as Veil gets stronger as the waves progress. It barely does anything on the early Anvil waves, but can easily solo Anvil wave 19.
It demands quite a bit of micro, though like the rocket run general, that's what i seek for, a bit of challenge and uncommun builds.
With that you can also do a nice crowd control by making enemies seeing you first by teleporting near them and then letting the mates taking care of them. Basically kitting.
