LORE QUESTION - Ulkair, Avatar of Khaine = Wraith Knight and Imperial Knight?
Alright both Ulkair and Avatar of Kaine are sort of like demi-godly, but could Imperial/Wraith Knights be on par in terms of combat ability to these two? Was just wondering because on DoWIII trailer the Eldar have WK instead (so far at least) of Khaine.

In terms of lore? Uh. Hard to answer that, because greater daemons can vary in strength, and I assume Avatars of Khaine can as well.

It depends on the writer. Sometimes they destroy entire armies with no problems or they will be killed/banished by a single Space Marine.

The Bloodthirster Ka`bandha was killed by the Sanguinor and the Avatar by Marneus Calgar.

And that's not bringing in the hilarious rediculousness that is the Grey Knights. I honestly kinda feel bad for Angron, he really deserved a better fight than that farce. Same with Mortarion.

But not as heretical like Matt Wards legendary Fluff Heresy with "his" Ultramarines and Super Saiyin Primarch Kaldor Draigo, who stomps Greater Demons left and right and makes some real OP **** while being trapped IN THE WARP!

Well, Kaldor Draigo and the Grey Knights can indeed be ridiculous sometimes. As for the OP's question, every "faction" has access to some form of titans. Huge war machines. Greater Daemons are a totally different thing. The Eldar will surely have the Avatar of Khaine as a unit in the game. It would be kinda weird not having it. Greater Daemons can vary in strength, as it was already mentioned.

Kaldor Draigo is also the prime suspect for the identity of the Silver Knight of Slaanesh.

Well, considering how much effort was put into locking Ulkair up, I don't think a Wraith or Imperial Knight would stand much of a chance.

It's hard to make the match though because Wraith Lords/Guards and Imperial Knights/Titans are all warmachines... A Greater Daemon is a demi-god at least and a lesser god at best. Unlike a warmachine their strength lay in their awesome magical powers and the intricacies of their warp spawned nature. Trying to match a Greater Daemon to warmachines is like trying to match a Nun with a prostitute.... ♥♥♥♥. Is like trying to match apples with a hungry man hero.

Well you guys forget..The Titans of Chaos are possessed by said demons..which further continues the question

It really depends though. A straight on fight? Titan vs. Greater Daemon? Unless the Greater Daemon is poorly favored by their patron God or unless it's on the weaker side the Greater Daemon will probably win? Why? GD can just possess the warmachine and solve the issue right there. But also cause of the nature of daemons in general.

Daemons often have invulnerabilities and other oddities that make them very hard to kill not to mention your trying to slay a sizable portion of a Chaos God, not to mention the Greater Daemon is a very very very powerful warrior and/or psyker in most cases not considering that what you perceive as the Greater Daemon is nothing more then a mere reflection and the fact the GD is not bound to the same physical limitiations a Titan would be bound to.

Also understand that one usually encounters a Greater Daemon only in the larger Chaos Incursions that means it already has alot of allies to draw strength from and the world the fight is taking place on is most likely already heavily compromised by the essence of the Warp which is further in favor of the Greater Daemon.

That's not to say a Titan couldn't banish a Greater Daemon especially if it has no immunity to physical damage... But I wouldn't put my money on the Titan.

I didn't mean to confuse..but I was expanding that the Titans of Chaos are..if not most bound to Greater demons via particular weaponry or directly controlled by said demon. But as you said..the only Imperial Titans that could possibly stand a chance of a fight would be the Emperor-class...since the belief system of all the Admech and Guardsmen with it "believe" it could sodomize an enemy..it may be able to give it a good fight. Let alone it's a giant walking cathedral that already is sentient
