Hi there.
It seems it tends to happen that this file is corrupted or missing. You may download it, and try to fix the issue yourself, still you may want to search help via youtube; there are some videos about it.

Good evening. I recently changed my notebook (right now I have a HP notebook with 16 CPU cores) and reinstalled my Steam games. I wanted to play Dawn of War II: Retribution and sadly noticed that when I click the play button the seems to start but in the end does not start. Following some discussion on Steam I noticed that the problem could be the high number of cores of the CPU and tried the Corefix solution (both on Github website and both and the DOW2 mods website linked below):

I also read some tutorials about the "The file d3dx9_xx.DLL was not found" related to the Direct X:

Even this did not solve the issue.

Have I neglected anything? What else could I try?
