Yes i know about the link. I was able to download the file but it still doesnt work. Removed old profiler.dll and put the new profiler.dll file in the folder. Instead of freezing the entire desktop now it attempts to launch the game but fails. i9-13900k, RTX4090, 64GB Ram, 4TB SSD. Gonna attempt to turn off all my efficiency cores in Bios and see if that works
Ah ok, sometimes people cannot find it so I just riposted it for ya. All I know is my game used to freeze before the launch screen until I used the new profiler.dll. Hope you get it working. 700+ hours shows some love, ya know? Ryzen 5950X, RTX 3090, 128GB Ram, X3 4TB SSD
Open the "Install" Folder within Dawn of War 2 Directory,
Run and Install "vcedist"
Run and Install "DXSETUP"
Copy\Paste in Address Bar https://github.com/maximumgame/DOW2CoreFix/releases/tag/v1.0
Click on "Profiler.dll" under Assets, this will download a fix for Muilticore CPUs.
Cut\Copy\Drag "Profiler.dll" in DOW2 main Directory.
Run Game
Ah sorry i completely forgot i posted on this thread.
Anyway, update, i got it to work somehow by replacing DivxMediaLib.dll and DivxDecoder.dll with updated versions i found on the internet
So, to anyone who's still having problems and none of the solutions in this thread are working, download those two files from google and put them into you game's install directory to replace the old files. Also you need to do this for both DoW 2 vanilla and Retribution because they have separate install directories. You don't need to do this for Chaos Rising because Chaos Rising is just a DLC unlike Retribution which is its own game.

Yup
Thank you good man!
It worked for my system!
System settings:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16-Core
RAM: DDR5 5200 64 Gb
GPU: GTX 1070 8 Gb
System: Windows 10 22H2
Turn off the Vega in Bios if you can, any which way. Or disable it in Windows Device Manager (but won't stick cause of new "green" Windows).

I also read some tutorials about the "The file d3dx9_xx.DLL was not found" related to the Direct X:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/game-error-the-file-d3dx9-xx-dll-was-not-found-0527b68b-0490-0a98-0c3a-57304047f974
Even this did not solve the issue.
Have I neglected anything? What else could I try?
