How to assign trainers?

I finally was able to hire a trainer, but there doesn't seem to be a screen where I can assign a fighter to him?

Hi,

Trainers can only be assigned during training camps. You need to set up a match, then select "Begin Training Camp" from the Training screen. Once that happens, you can assign a trainer to your fighter while he's in Training Camp.

Yes, you can run a training camp with no trainer. Trainers just boost training camp gains.
