Not sure what to do, I disconnected because it wasn't going to connect.

Not sure what to do, I disconnected because it wasn't going to connect.
Do you have another Steam client running anywhere? If yes shut it down and retry.

I've done all of the above myself, still broken.

This is definetly due to steam using the server's local IP address instead of the public IP Address, as the IPs you've listed are usually used as local IPs, if you have a friend that's hosting a work around is for them to tell you their public IP address and then connect through the console ("Connect [IP Here]") , other than that the devs will have to try and mess with the SteamPlay API.
