Might wanna add you to friends list and ask to try and duplicate this bug.
We did test it many times and it worked but maybe we did overlook something.
Either the entire safety trigger hasn't been coded or it is faulty.
It happens, but this does make way for a mission breaking bug however.
The escape path you're meant to take involves the slanted pipe coming out of the ground near the stairs up to the big metal platform connecting the lift and the laser room. Next time you play this mission, you and your team might want to take some time to figure out and practice the escape path before you complete any objectives.
The "red button" is just an euphemism for sending off weapons in general, my bad.
Did all that, never saw the laser fire, and queen was alive still. Had to kill her,
because she was standing right infront of the laser in the doorway. Killed her with
1 guy because the 3 allied bots apparently didn't see her as an enemy.
Then the exit didn't want to trigger 'mission complete'. Had to cancel mission.
Aside: I do feel that the escape path isn't very obvious - it did take me a few tries before I figured it out myself.
