Two Aliens swarm are quite similar,

But Alien swarm reactive drop is like a more complete version with a workshop, mods (there is an fps and signle player mods yes) and a community of active dev and players, bug fix and balancing.
Oh, and there are also new weapons which are not present in Alien swarm 1.

If you want my opinion, if you are looking for information on a game it is easier to read the technical sheet steam has proposed for this game rather than to ask a question on a forum.

there is all the information you are looking for here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/563560/Alien_Swarm_Reactive_Drop/

Play Reactive Drop. The two are not fundamentally different games. Reactive Drop is basically a continuation of support for the original. Little point to playing the original. Reactive Drop is a straight upgrade imo.

You can play singleplayer (and it's a choice in the menu rather than needing console commands as was the case in the original)

First person isn't really supported. None of the content is built to support it, so even if a mod enables a change in camera perspective, the content is not going to play like a game built with first person in mind.

Thank you, I've checked them, this version is like L4D2 with better developed stuff, it seems. I'll give a game run.

Thank you for comment, single player can really give adventage to learn more about the game that's the reason I asked in first place. Yeah fps mod may not be the best way to play but some fun you know. Yeah, content won't run or look how it is supposed to be. I'll give a game run.

you should try coop instead of single player though, the game way funnier that way (bots are dumb)
but yeah, as other said, it's a continuation of AS. I'd even go as far to say that RD is a mod of AS, as it's fully based on AS, with extra stuff on top of it.
that being said, RD did such a good job on the extra stuff it became a game of its own (kinda), hence why every old AS players switched to RD
