Question about 4 player vs 8 player

Does the difficulty scale when it is set to 8 player co-op compared to 4 player?

You get twice the basic enemies if you start the mission with 5 or more marines present. This will last for the remainder of the mission. No matter whether they're bots or players, or how many die during the mission.

And it's much worse when you don't know about it. The weapons beginners usually magnet to - the basic rifles - are already underperforming with normal enemy count in many cases, and since new players aren't yet used to altfire's crowd-clearing capabilities, the enemy doubler seems to result in 8-player nooblobbies failing more often than 4-player ones.
Or, imagine someone thinking "this seems a bit too hard, let's add bots", and pushing the marine count over 4 with the bots, ironically making the game much harder.

Loli is forgetting the most important aspect. More players means you need better coordination, like not shooting your teammates in the back.
