Age ratings arn't an ideal system. There's no arbitary age where you're mature enough for something, it's different for everyone. I don't believe this game has an official age rating.
To answer your questions:
Blood & Gore: Yes, there's a fair amount of blood and gore, you're blasting aliens to pieces, and chunks go flying.
Bad Language: Possibly in the game itself (I can't be sure, it's certainly not extensive if it is) but the likelyhood of encountering bad language goes way up when you're playing online with others as is the case with any multiplayer game.
Those are the two potential problem points in my mind. there's no sexual references,drug use or any of that jazz to worry about.
drug abuse is real in this game
