the prototype rifle sucks lol, but overall it makes sense the class locked weapons would be the best choice.
Sarge: Vendicator + GL + ECA
Wildcat: Minigun + Ammo + ECA/Freeze
Wolfe: Minigun + Ammo + ECA/Freeze
Faith: Tesla + Medigun + Freeze
Bastile: Tesla + Medigun + Adrenaline
Crash: Prototype (mostly for stuns) + GL + ECA/Freeze/Smart Bomb
Vegas: Chainsaw + GL/Ammo + ECA
This is ideal but if you need more ammo - Sarge not Jaegar takes it..
If you need a flamer - some maps either really require it, or actually force it - Vegas, since it helps with chaining stuff...
You can drop off hand stuff - even sarges fw mines are ok, but he can drop more fw mines for jaegar now also ... I would say Sarge with fws even using them himself is more ideal for him tho...
Check the character stats - bonuses they get for stuff, so you know why this equipment load out is best for all characters.
Electric Armor whenever possible.
Minigun for huge waves of mobs as SW. Devastator is good, but feels a bit wonky to use. Not sure if it's just me, but it isn't performing as well as the idea behind it is. Wildcat is the higher DPS of the two, but Wolfe tanks better. Wildcat on Minigun with 60% penetration will hold a chokepoint well.
Medics should always have one medical option, and recommend Flamer or Tesla or dual med guns (with amp med gun or heal beacon). Faith can go dual, but recommended to have a gun for Bastille.
Sarge is good with Vindicator already, but you can give him Combat Rifle instead for absurd alt-fire damage.
Yaeger is your guy for blowing ♥♥♥♥ up. Try giving him hand grenades for the cluster bomb effect. Works for Sarge and Crash, but Yaeger does it better. Vindicator can be used, but recommended to go Grenade Launcher.
Also, officers are the only ones who can use Incendiary Mines. No preference on which officer to use, but I will say Sarge.
Crash does well with Flamer and Grenade Launcher for most part. Vegas should take advantage of his melee bonuses for Hard and below and use Chainsaw, optionally with Power Fist item. Otherwise, Tesla/Flamer and, depending on your playstyle, Sentry Guns.
Personally do not recommend using A or P rifles after you get Combat Rifle at lvl30.
I know you probably mean well, and I mean no offense but you keep giving bad advice... You are new to the game, and you are over confident about your mastery of it...
Please put more hedging terms in or refrain yourself...
or projectile only weapons runs, that was always a nice change of pace.
It was fun to move as a tactical unit and even random joining people
had fun and deemed it a good way to practice squad movement,
lines of fire and covering of angles.
By the way rodt, you don't seem to be aware, but I had purposedly put that first line just to bait you into exposing yourself.
It wasn't just the first line, but most everything you said which is bad..
You may not realise it but the only one who should be ashamed of exposing themselves here is you.
From what you say it is clear you are new to the game and got the wrong idea about lots of things, its nothing bad, it happens... but you shouldnt act like you know best and tell people to ignore actual good advice...
I don't mean to offend you, but you seem to be getting emotional about these things...
Class locked weapons are top tier.
Below them are the flame thrower and ammo deployable.
Below that sits most weapons
And below that are the rail rifle, sniper rifle, the level 1 machine gun and the explosive sentry.
But regardless, any weapon can work as long as you know how to use it.
