Mine? Well, there was that one mission where you need to destroy biomass and eggs. But, we didn't take a tech with us. So eventually we came across a door we couldn't open and it took forever to shoot down.

First, bit of background, some guy joined earlier and ive been impressed with mines when using Jaeger. So I decided to try it out and loved it.

Now zoom back to what happened. So there was that door, I grew impatient and figured I could use the mines to blow it up. And proceeded at throwing all my mines at the door until one of those flying enemies set it off and I got thrown away like a rag doll.

Darwinism at it's best. This marine won't spread his genepool.

Had a game on one of the new maps (cant remember which one) there was 2 doors near the start, when you activate one it will be powered down and you had to go to the other one, so we went to the bottom one, survived the usual swarm when waiting for doors, and (everyones first time playing the map) we all went into the room (which was quite dark) there was something like a grill and a way across it, on the upper part of the grill, it wasnt covered and you could fall off (the bottom was some pipes so you wouldnt notice) Now we played the entire campaign on brutal with only 3 or so deaths in total up till now. 5 of us fell into the hole and got instant death. (me included) Needless to say, we didnt win that run

Dat damn hole, fell for that yesterday too.
-Me (medic) going through the room, everythings cool
-Guy behind me insta-dies, quick-look back, 2 drones, wondering if his health was low (nah)
-Second guy behind me insta-dies, again some drones, nothing dangerous (i just healed him, wtf is wrong with him)
-Hmm, strange, maybe a glitch? I'm going 5 meters back into the room, maybe I can loot something
-Oh, an ammo satchel, lets get that ...
-Insta-kill by hole, Dammit!

PS: for such situations the death-cam would have made sense (which most of us disable now), I probably would have seen that they weren't killed by enemies ...

On old Alien Swarm, I was playing medic with the heal beacon. A guy and I got infested. I put down one heal beacon. In the end, we both died. Apparently, two heal beacons are needed to cure two people.

Additionally it is good to know that heal beacons split up their energy even if ppl are not healed anymore. A fully healed marine takes a part of the power of the beacon - for nothing. So it is important to step out of it if you have finished healing. Especially if there is an infected marine standing in it (better do not even step in it).

I was playing Timor Station map yesterday and I was playing as Jaeger with lazer mines, vindicator and ammunition. I was going as the last one in squad formation and isntalling the mines so to cover the squad from hordes that might come.

It all happened in the beginning. There are several boxes there, just near the first persistent spawns of drones, where you have to turn right near the 2 huge containers. So I started deploying my lazer mines on the container as usual, when a drone on the left pushed a box in my direction and while the mines were IN FLIGHT the box flew just between the flying lazer mines and the container i wanted those mines to be installed at. As a result, the lazer mines were installed on the cardboard box, not on the container. Since every object with installed lazer mines on it in motion causes lazer mines to explode, the cadrboard box exploded and I was blown to pieces.
