Jaegar - nade launcher and vindicator - fws
etc...
Generally you want to stay in a formation - the most basic thing is you have someone watching the six - that is his job - if he ever faces forward he is failling his job - basically...
Medic in middle - special weps or leader front and back...
Try to avoid flamer and use tesla instead...
There is no "best" really - it depends on the map/mission - and what you like to play, there is a fair bit of choice in this game. Think about the team - different setups / chars have strong and weak points - the minigun is super strong, but with it you are slow and cant turn too well...
Being more mobile means - lower dmg and or nade launcher self harm/etc... so you have to balance your team well for best results. Play to your teams strong points and make sure to watch / plug any weak points.
Alot is about fire lines / formation - so it is important the medic doesnt go infront harrassing aliens, because she will be blocking high dmg chars from killing them, etc...
of course for various reasons all these rules can and will and should be broken - but if you want to get good at playing this game - you need to learn to play in a solid team really.
EDIT :
You see even on brutal - anyone can fairly easily kill the odd alien here and there, it is when you get packs of aliens - you need to kill them fast or they can kill you and your team fast.
So the only issue is the packs of aliens - and there are only a few ways to kill them;
Vindicator - ie a leader - sarge or jaegar -- sarge cant really kill packs on brutal so bare that in mind.
Nade launcher - jaegar or crash.
Mini gun - special ops.
chainsaw - vegas or jaegar.
So you need something setup like that for atleast 2 players - the rest can generally just support - pick up the slack - bolster a side or whatever, depending on team... etc...
Tbh in bot games is 100% cordination i always switch beetwen them often the micro is actually fun for me im used from dota and warcraft 3 so far i used flame alot i had always 1 flame on my team as a medic main wep or second for the officers because there is alwayts some crap to burn and the little parasites stand no chance xD
i want with bots tho .. it's hard to find humans to play brutal with hell my friends bearly do hard .. problem with bots is i can't make them focus fire the shield bugs and generaly high priority targets they just stand and shoot him from the front.. second taught since they do 0% friendly fire dmg i should just put 3 granade lounchers >,> ?
And yeah, apparently grenade launchers are good on bots.
If you're in an open area tell your bots to hold and then move on the other side of the shield bug.
Either you will have a good shot or they will. You can also direct the bots to go anywhere on the map using the secondary hold command, so you could potentially surround the shield bug, but that's heavy on mirco-management.
secondary hold command ?? i just use Stop + move is there something else?
2 Officers with double Vindicators.
