I believe it's like this so you share the controller, as there's nothing that other players in the game can do whilst it's someone else's turn. I will forward your feedback on about this and the property buying on to the game team.

As above, this has been passed on but we cannot make any guarantee at this time additional controller support will be implemented.
As core development has ended for Monopoly Plus, there are no further title updates planned, so it's unlikely we'd see more control options being added but of course, if this changes, we'll let you know.
