Reinstalling didn't work sadly.
Hey there.
I see. That's a fairly strange issue, particularly regarding it muting everything else until it's closed but I have seen this come up before with other games. I don't think it's anything specific to Monopoly Plus.
The first thing I'd suggest is to access your sound control panel. To get there on Windows 10 go to System > Sound > Sound Control Panel > Communications and please ensure this setting is set to "Do nothing"
I'd also recommend a fresh installation[support.microsoft.com] of your audio drivers.
If this doesn't help I'd then recommend adjusting the bitrate to see if this helps. You can get there from the sound control panel again, select your current output device and then Properties > Advanced. You will find the bitrate options there.
