Will repurchasing on Steam let me play the game?
So I'm far from the only person who's had this problem, but I ended up deleting my old email and my old Ubisoft account. I eventually got my steam updated and I still had Uno and Monopoly. Me and some friends wanted to play, but the activation key is just magically gone to the ether and Ubisoft so helpfully said "suck a fat one, buy the game again you little weiner" so can I purchase it again through steam after removing it from my library and have that work, or do I need to go purchase it through Ubisoft personally? I just wanna check before Ubisoft chomps another 45 dollars out of my bank

I don't know completely how the linking works but i'd imagine that as long as the Steam account is linked to another UBI account, you won't be able to link it again, since that information is still in UBI's system.

Best would have been to unlink Steam first. Also afaik there is a "Uplay Activation" DLC for the game and not some CD key, so in theory Connect should ask for account linking once the game is started for the first time on your Steam account.

You would only be able to re-purchase the game on Steam if you actually refunded it first but i assume the old license would just be re-activated if you use the "permanently remove" option or re-buying the game, you can try refunding, buying it again and then trying to link Steam to another UBI account as described below.
