Saving game in online mode

Got this game to play with family.
My mom and I played a little bit on it but we could not figure out how to save the game
We did the online and created a private game but every time we exited we would have to start over

Anybody know how to save the games or if it's even possible?

I took a look and even emailed the company and have not received an email back still can't find out how you actually save a game you're playing with someone to go back to play it on the other day when you're on the online mode.
Any suggestions?
