Local Multiplayer - Do I need multiple copies?

Just wondering if I could LAN this game - or if I would need multiple copies to do so?

With one copy you can play locally with upto 6 players. Although, I can't guarantee that each player will be able to use their own input device (keyboard/controller) and that you probably have to pass the same controller around each turn to roll the dice (and manage properties).
