What does "Start the bloodbath by killing three Mercinaries"

The mission "Forest of gloom" has a requirement that says "Start the bloodbath by killing three Mercinaries". What does this mean? I tried killing my own dudes, which didn't work...

I checked. Tried to kill them with Ligtnings. and it works

THere is a bug, some spells cant target units

Kill mercenaries with Lightning spell

Mercenary is the second level of peasant.

Ahhhh. thank you! it worked, I didnt even have to kill my own dudes, it counted if they died to the defending creatures. Perhaps that is a bug? Or it is poorly worded?

Imo it is bug... i did that mission and game keeps telling me to do it

it is not a bug.
YOu need to kill your own mercenaries with spells.

I've successfully completed this mission multiple times and killed my own mercenaries with Lightning, but still don't get a star for it. Although my objective is "Start a bloodbath by killing 2 of your own mercenaries", not 3.

Aside from this minor issue, it's a great game! I've really been enjoying it on my new Steam Deck. Thanks!

Try to kill it with Lighting. it Counter changes then it works
To get achievemnt, you also must not lose a life.

I'm not sure why it didn't work the first few times (I used Lightning, didn't lose any lives and the counter said 2/2 with a star symbol) but I tried it again last night, this time killing 3 mercenaries (when it specified 2) and this time it gave me the star. This may or may not be the reason I didn't get it before. I work in QA in the games industry and I know how difficult minor issues like this can be to track down!

Can you please corroborate something for me though please - to get all of the stars, do we have to complete each level 6 times? It seems that you have to complete it once to get the initial reward, then it will display the "achievement" requirement which you then have to complete it to get the star?

I've now left you a very positive Steam review!

Also, I saw it mentioned that you wanted more people testing on Linux - I'm using the Steam Deck and it's been working brilliantly for me! The 1280x800 resolution works perfectly, the controls work brilliantly, etc. I did remap "fast forward" to the "B" button though for ease of use - it might be worth adding this as a default if/when the player is using a SteamDeck or controller rather than keyboard&mouse.

Still bugged, I played this level 5 times, killing over 10 mercs every game and of 4 different types. The counter never went past 0/2.

Do you play on Offline or Server/Local mode?

Also, to complete the achiv you need to have full HP.

Steam Deck is not a linux. it works different
We wanted to check the game on linux since we do not know does it work or not)
But noone complains. so it seems its ok

if you pass the mission on the hardest difficulty it will award you with the best start. So you need to complete jsut once.
