I like witchers for their attack speed but can't shake the feeling that really high damage numbers work better on high difficulties considering how armor works in this game.
On the other hand fast attack speed helps with big waves of smaller enemies.
thx
Edit: Does anybody know by how much the witcher damage gets increased per hit?
I believe it's still to early too evaluate all the options; the final upgrades for witcher/knight aren't even available yet, and there is no equipment for assassin/shieldmaiden in the shop yet.
My personal opinion is that witcher is superior to knight, since dps before armor for the witcher seems far superior, while the mobs' armor seems rather insignificant. Also, witcher's ability is always useful, while the knight's stun ability is only really useful when the last mob of a wave passes through, which is rare.
Finally, witcher is more flexible and can clear groups better.
Yeah Knights are much slower but work well with commanders horn striking quicker then Witchers, both are fun to play with depending on your style, its good people use different combinations as it would be boring if everyone used the same build.
From what i have personally noticed, Witchers are a lot better when they cover a big area and can build up their hits. With smaller coverage i feel like the Knights become more impactful.
I didn't even take the future upgrades into consideration. 50% more damage per hit sounds immensely powerful. Plus it helps that multiple Witchers can build up on the same target.
If your using archers then witchers are probably more suited, if your using Bombarders they take care of large groups easy so the knights can take down the larger targets. I will be playing around with both just to have some fun with something different
