Better than Kingspray Graffiti?
I was just curious if this game offers up anything new or different compared to other graffiti games like Kingspray that are over 3 years old now. What changes or improvements have you guys made to compete with already established games in this genre?

The free to play/micro transactions is a huge step in the wrong direction.

Micro transactions should be illegal.. its a mind F8uk for our society and causes so many issues.
I just want to buy the game outright. Also early access should be 80% of full price or something like this.. I am going to try this app today but Kingspray seems like it has most stuff I want. But really would love templates

So far, as far as I can tell, Graffiti Bombing is better in terms of painting. The "game" elements are annoying, there's no smooth turning just snap turning if you're the type that likes to sit down and paint and I am. The "paint" seems to attach directly to the surface whereas Kingspray has it float just on top. The paint coming out of the can seems to be more able to flow solidly but has trouble with recognizing pressure on the trigger. It either goes too soft or too hard. With GB you have to actually pick up the can, and if you drop it (from what happened to me) it gets lost in the floor. Even if you put your controller down on the floor, it gets difficult to pick it up. The backpack thing is annoying as you pull it off, and you can't re-attach it to your back so easily. So far I just throw it somewhere and let it float in the ether and just run away if I want it to re-attach. Now GB is "open world" and it can be interesting but resource demanding. With early access there's bound to be severe memory leaks. KG is just one box location which makes it easier to run on even low end computers. Mine is, Rift S says "it doesn't meet minimum requirements" yet I play games just fine. Quad core CPU, 16gb memory, 4gb vram.

When you make a painting with the two games, if you don't fill in all the ares KG will often look as if you did. When you look at the snapshot found in the documents folder in your computer it looks like a horrible mess a beginner makes. GB seems to be able to show you more easily where you didn't fill in spots with paint.

So as far as early access, GB is good if your computer can handle the random memory leaks (could be my computer is low spec so I'm not faulting for that), it's got it's annoyances and problems and it is FREE for the basic paint which is good enough for me so that's a plus. KG is more stable. GB is just cleaner with the paint though they need to work out the pressure problem.

It's ambitious to create a larger "persistent world" for painting, the previous apps were single scene based. I'm looking forward to trying this!

okay, I did! The paint seems a bit more realistic than the earlier ones. I hope they will simplify the controls a bit.

Well, to push back a little on a free game with the option to purchase more of the game discussion - on of the first pc games I played was commander keen. It was like what they called "shareware" at the time. Basically the first level is available and free and ezpz to get. If you actually enjoy the gameplay and want to support more development, you would then pay for the "rest" of the game, usually 4-8 other levels.

Apogee did this a lot.

I think the most famous ever stage with this model as E1M1 which had it's latest release this year with Doom: Eternal.

It isn't new, it isn't necessarily a fleece on the consumer, it isn't QUITE the same as microtransactions, as by definition it is a Macrotransaction (only 1 big vs many small).

Haha, this really has nothing to do with this game in particular I guess, but I saw the conversation and really wanted to clear up what imho is kind of a misconception about THIS particular kind of release model.

Now it's "In App Purchase's" of course. B - )

I tried the app again, and it crashed my (GTX 1080, Oculus ) system before I was able to paint!
Gotta say again: It's a cool "underground factory" intro, but that's not what we artists want.

If you want to get our attention, just drop us right into a scene with a surface and the paints!

Say: "If you register the full version, you can move to a lot more places and paint them!" and show some photos of those places, and other good features.

Mention what scenes etc. are planned, if they haven't been built yet

as someone who's put in time painting in this game ( aswell as irl) it's as close as you can get without going out to spots and painting

although there are some things that are indeed missing but will eventually be implemented (wishful thinking ;)

also gives the chance to practice without worrying about law enforcement or any prying eyes too :)
