How is the controller support?
As a mostly console pleb, i hate using the keyboard to play games, i see it says "Partial" Controller support in the game's store page. Can i use the controller to play the entire game or is it just in the menu?

If you're lucky enough to get it to work for you. Mine doesn't work, but it works for a friend of mine. So "partial" indeed

Depends on the controller you use. I've been playing the entire game with a steam controller so far and it feels godly.
Inventory management is a bit cumbersome with a normal controller but you can get used to it.

LOL the game actually works better with a controller, i use xbox one a buddy of mine uses a ps4
Gameplay is so smooth with a controller but has some problems with some controllers , if you have problems with compatibility try using x360ce

Use an Xbox controller. movement and fighting are just so much easier. though I tried a logictech with no luck. and I heard people were trying ps4 with no luck as well. for some things you still need a mouse but thats about all I've noticed.
wired aftermarket 360 controller works perfectly for me. win10. I've had it for years and it's never failed a game where I feel like playing with a controller. This and ms1 are the only mmo's that I ever felt more comfortable on a controller, since I don't play consoles, so try it out and see for yourself :)

I use a controller (x360) (because the keyboard controlls are whak here :D) and well you can use it for most important stuff like running, Fighting even using the controller as a mouse (click on left stick i think) but for the menu i suggest using the mouse and keyboard (like M for map and so on).

Its okay. Whatever you do, don't unplug a device that is connected to the ligthning cable while playing MS2. You controller will stop responding altogether. Only thing you can do then is to the exit the app and reopen the app.

Haven't had any problems using a 360 controller...but still use m+kb on occasion out of habit.

I'm utilising a DUALSHOCK 4 controller, works perfectly fine. In fact; i would recommend everyone to usilise controllers as their movement and skill shots are far more accurate compared to keyboard + mouse.

Didn't work with steam so i connected mine via a 3rd party program called 'DS4Windows'. This is a helpful companion which utilises bluetooth to connect to your PC. In fact; i even play non-controller supported games with this program as you can manually set every single button yourself.

I only usilise keyboard + mouse in the menus and to type. you can use your touchpad but imo is kind of unhandy in the menus, oh well.

Its great but the one downside is you cant really use macro.

I use ps4 controller with inputmapper. works great.

I still use my mouse for navigating the map, menus and stuff but all my gameplay is played with my ps4 controller.

setting up macros is a pain and very limited though.

I'm using Xbox ONE controller and it works fine. Having keyboard and mouse nearby is recommended however for inventory navigation, chatting etc.
