Macros on a gamepad impossible?
So you can't macro anything that takes two inputs which all skills do on the controller. So should i just relearn on the keyboard?

can you explain this a bit further... my head hurts trying to make scense of this :(

i'm using macro's and have no problems?

You're using macros on your gamepad? To use a quickslot skill you have to hold LT, RT or RB then hit the button. But macros won't accept anything that has to hold those buttons, see what i'm saying?

I use an XB1 controller, bound my macro to Y, and rebound attack to RB. Works just fine.

weird... i have my buff skills set up to a macro (so i don't have to hold the button and cycle through each button)

at times it does it seperatly but still pushing 1 button instead of holding the trigger and pushing buttons is QoL hehe

Using a PS4 controller, I use one macro per class, and have it bound to R1. You do not have to have your macro set as a combination.

steam controller (and logitec xbox controller -> ps model actualy) and same :)

now crafting all the crap i can and then i'm going to look into adding more ingame buttons to the steamcontroller (the backplate zooms in/out atm but i hardly use it so i could change those to the trigger buttons and such)

i made a post a few days back how great the steam controller is but i got trolled so hard for it that i'm kinda sceptic trying it again (their loss... i'm having a blast playing with the steamcontroller and now i hate using my standard controller)

now i get it hahaha...

you want to set the trigger buttons as a macro button ;)

with the steam controller you can change the buttons any way you like. wait for the steam sales and get you one of these puppies (note* it kinda feels akward in the beginning but trust me once you get use to it, you'll love it and never want any other controller -> none gives you that much freedom)

just thinkerd around with the button config and the 2 back buttons (the steamcontroller has 2 buttons on the back -> battery plate) now function for macro's hehe

so, go to menu and tinker around with the keybinds (i hope you know where to find the controler settings because otherwise i need to reboot the game and look where it is hehe)

and changing around some stuff there and further changing in my steam controllersettings i can now kick back and use my controller for EVERYTHING hehe (seeing the backbuttons are not found by the game you need to bind them to ingame functions) and the triggers have a soft and a hard trigger (so you could again bind 2 more things to the controller)

touchpad is my mouse (double tab is LMB, push is RMB)

now for a simple controller there should be some wiggleroom for you to make macros the way you want (just needs some messing around in the menu with the buttons)

I use PS4 controller, all i have done so far is change (Y) my basic attack button to a macro using 3 spells

Use B for dash, Y for attack, RB for buffs and trigger presses for less common things.
Just rebind B it keeps opening that menu.

yeah the game has so many things going on that you are quick to overlook things ;)

and for the steamcontroller, wait for the winter sales (or maybe haloween sales if they are going to have them) often the price drops 90% ;)
